I got the news today…
A friend of mine met an accident yesterday…
He didn’t survive it.
I am very sad…
It is just too bad…
He lost everything he had…
He is never coming back.

My sympathies. Of course, if you look at it in a different and utterly cold-blooded way, it’s a good thing he didn’t survive or he’d be in unspeakable pain right now.
