Silver mirror

Mirror in a test tube. Never expected it to be so much fun. It was quite a simple experiment actually but my lab partners were fun and we had quite and interesting period. The teacher looked amused when we started snapping photos with our camera phones (hv to ban them from the lab next time) but she did not stop us………. just hope she doesn’t put ‘did not use scientific method’ down on our records. :P Anyway, pictures!!!!!

my lab partners: Arwin, Ru Xing, Ling Weng, Yu Wan and Weai Jiet. Haha… pretending to be a bunch of scientists.

me, Arwin, Yu Wan, Ru Xing, and Ling Weng

Me & my silver mirror.

A closer look.

Anyway, lots of test and quizzes coming up practically everyday this and next week. (The teachers don’t want us to get too excited over the holidays) So wish me luck!

A bee bee problem

Yesterday was……….. a new experience for me. So it started of pretty normal, as usual I’m staggering under loads of homework (all of them tagged ‘important!’ ‘urgent!’ ‘due!’) ><. Anyway, it was exactly 9 pm last night and I was spread out on my bed finishing up my work and TRYING not to dose off when a bee suddenly landed on my slipper. ok, no big deal. I swatted it and when out to get the brrom and dustpan to sweep it away. When I came back, my room was buzzing with 3 / 4 bees. Er…. not good. I slammed the windows shut and called my other housemates to check their rooms. Haha… Theirs were as bad as mine. I started swatting them with the newspaper and they were using their pesticide like a water gun. My god, the bees just kept coming. Apparently my housemates OPENED their window in hopes that the bees will fly out. Er…. didn’t they learn in chemistry that stuff will diffuse following the concentration gradient??? Lol. Anyway, we shut the windows and soncentrated on the job at hand — exterminating the bees. :P Took us around 45 mins to kill them all. The air in our room was practically saturated with insecticide. yuck. Even then, we still keep having one or two stray ones flying around the room. Then we realised that the bees were actually forcing themselves into the room from the miniscule slits and cracks on the windowsill. Ack. We had to stuff newspapers into the cracks and sprayed them with insecticide again.

I hope this is the last. No way. Not in a million years. Luckily the bees were like a lil drowsy, we later realised it was due to the fire outside.

MMmm…..cookies!

Yes, yummy, delicious, tasty cookies. Famous Amos cookies. Ooohh.. it’s been YEARS since I last tasted them. I was at Subang Parade on Friday, and I saw their stall. Haha, actually I think I smelled it first. After that, I couldn’t resist. I just had to buy myself a bag of chocolate chip and pecan nut. Cost me more than an average meal. >.< *guilty* I'm trying to make it last as long as possible. lol. Don't want to finish it all in one go. I want to savour it. It's really nice when dunked in milk.

you can see but you can\'t have ANY.

brain overload

Yup. I am now WAY behind in my studies plus Eng assignment. I don’t know where to start and what to do. I totally wasted my chinese new year holidays. Right now, I’m in the school’s computer lab. I’m SUPPOSED to be doing (re-doing) my chemistry experiment but here I am. lol. One thing I hate about this computer? I can’t check my emails…. I mean, Why????????? What’s wrong with checking or sending emails? I understand friendster being blocked, it’s not related to school work but emails??? Ahem, our assignments do require us to send emails, and if both the computer labs in school and hostel block all the email service providers, our only option is the cyber cafe. bleh. I know, I know, I have wi - fi now but my connection is playing up on my recently (after the CNY hols), it takes AGES to login and most of the time, the connection fails. I staid up until 12 something last night just to send one measly email. >.< And we were told that the wifi is recieving an UPGRADE now. Looks like down grading to me…..

I have to finish my lab report. If my lecturer rejects this again. I think I’ll faint. I’m starting to get an idea of why my most of our seniors last year kept wishing us ‘good luck’. And it’s only 5 subjects!! I wonder how we coped with 12 last time……
