Through the lens

Coming to Adelaide to study, I would never have imagined that I would actually see myself on TV but due to a lucky coincidence, ‘Postcards’ was filming a short feature for their show on the day I decided to pay Gilles Street Market a visit. The Gilles St Sunday Market is a funky designer / vintage fashion market full of stalls selling discounted merchandises. It is only a short walk from where I live and it was nice browsing through the stuff especially when the weather is nice.

So yeah, it just so happened that me and a friend were poking around the stuff at a stall and the camera man told us to ‘pretend’ we were browsing and he filmed a short snippet for their clips. =) We were also at somewhere in the background when the commentator said his bit of stuff about the market and he had to do quite a few shots for it. =P

Even more surprising was when I checked their website and saw a picture of me and phyllicia right at the top!! =D Hehe… Apparently after the airing of the program, the turnout was actually bigger this month compared to the last one.

*’Postcards’ features interesting points about Adelaide. The proper URL is http://www.postcards.sa.com.au/
